Residential Governor's School for STEM
It was an honor to be selected for Virginia's highly competitive Summer Residential Governor’s School for STEM at the University Of Lynchburg VA, where I completed a college-level Discrete Mathematics course and conducted advanced research. I made good friends and got a "Student of the week" recognition as well!
I am a member of the Mu Alpha Theta Math Honors Society for 2 years.
It was fantastic to compete at the 24th Annual Regional High School Mathematics Competition and win 2nd place! I enjoyed visiting Christopher Newport University.
I competed in the 2024 American Mathematics Competition 12.
STEM & Entrepreneurship Projects
I am involved in a yearlong sports analytics research project investigating economic vs. non-economic factors impacting on-field performance, under the mentorship of a Duke University graduate.
Self-guided research includes analyzing weather patterns over two years and exploring autonomous transportation technologies.

DECA
I have been a Vice President of Career Development for the past 3 years. I have led weekly training to mentor 70+ students with a focus on competitor data and goalsetting with metrics.
I have hosted workshops on networking and public speaking.
We have competed in and won awards at district, state and international levels.
This year, I am proud to say that have the highest number of state winners and ICDC qualifiers in Grassfield DECA chapter history.






Tutoring
I volunteered as a Kumon Tutor, having been a student of Kumon for more than 10 years. After 3 years of volunteering, I was head of math table, tutoring and mentoring math students.
Empact Internship
I joined Empact in late 2024 as a Growth and Research Coordinator and did a three-month Internship. This startup focused on a platform for connecting people moved by social issues highlighted in the media. Impact through empathy. moving people to action.
I truly enjoyed creating a Discord community plan, conducting market research, gathering competitor data and testing new software for outreach to foundations.

Medical Informatics Internship
It was challenging and invigorating to shadow the Chief Information Officer at Chesapeake Regional Healthcare. I got to see firsthand on how IT equipment is staged, deployed and validated in Critical Care Units.
I worked with the egineering and service desk teams.
I also developed a proposal for a college internship program to be presented to the CEO.

I Co-founded a startup through the STEM Global Entrepreneurship program, producing a 15 page business plan, pitch deck, and raising $150 in one hour.
Developed a Unity-based video game over six months, achieving Unity Programmer Certification. This grappling game was a hit!
I researched and wrote a paper on Autonomous Transportation, including the history and recent advances.
As part of STEM Sports Management, I had a great time creating an LA based sports team within the MLS, producing a budget, doing various analyses and presenting it to my team.

Clubs
I have enjoyed being a part of Model UN, having written multiple research and position papers on various world issues. Participating, drafting and passing legislation with fellow delegates is an exercise in patience! Participating in Model UN weekend conferences has been very useful in understanding the power of consensus building.
I have been a member of the Athletic Leadership Council via the Steel Sports Club. I have collaborated with fellow leaders across various teams around the nation. Utilizing the Community Monthly Service Themes we recently donated $1500 to Sentara Hospitals to help those in need.
Other service projects I have participated in have been via the Key Club, where we assembled holiday gift baskets and wrote motivational letters to veterans.
